Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the Kuyog app and this website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Kuyog.
2. Who can use Kuyog
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Kuyog only with a parent or guardian's permission. You must provide a phone number you control, and you may not create an account for someone else or on behalf of a banned user.
3. Your account
Accounts are verified by phone number: one verified phone, one account. This is deliberate — it is how we keep Kuyog free of bots and fake identities. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to your phone number secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
You may not sell, rent, or transfer your account, use automated tools or scripts to interact with the Service, or attempt to create accounts in bulk.
4. Friendships and spaces
Kuyog is built for people who already know each other. Friend connections require both people to agree. Rooms and worlds are private to their members, and room owners can control who may enter.
Do not use Kuyog to contact people who have not agreed to connect with you, and do not attempt to gain entry to a space you have not been invited to.
5. Community rules
Kuyog is meant to feel like the best kind of recess. The following are not permitted:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted cruelty.
- Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any predatory behavior toward minors. This results in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.
- Sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or content promoting self-harm.
- Impersonating another person.
- Spam, scams, phishing, or promotion of unrelated products or services.
- Automated or scripted access, bots, or attempts to evade our anti-abuse systems.
- Attempting to breach, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
- Sharing another person's private information without their consent.
- Illegal activity.
6. Your content
You own what you create. Worlds you build, messages you send, and things you make remain yours.
You grant Kuyog a limited licence to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you and the people you have chosen to share it with. This licence exists so we can show your world to your friends and store it between sessions. It does not permit us to publish your content publicly, sell it, license it to third parties, or use it to train AI models. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained briefly in backups or where we must keep something for safety or legal reasons.
7. Purchases
Kuyog is funded by optional purchases — games, avatar items, decorations, and similar. Purchases are made through your app store, and its refund policies apply. Virtual items are a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them within Kuyog; they are not property, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for money.
We design purchases to be about self-expression and fun, never pay-to-win. We may change or retire items over time; where an item you bought becomes unavailable, we will try to offer a fair equivalent.
8. SMS messages
We send one-time verification codes by SMS to the number on your account. These are transactional messages required to sign in, not marketing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out may prevent you from signing in.
9. Moderation and enforcement
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put others at risk. Where practical we will tell you why and, for less serious matters, give you a chance to correct it. Serious violations — especially those involving harm to minors — result in immediate removal without notice.
If you are banned, you may not create a new account to evade the ban.
10. Reporting
If someone is behaving badly, report them in the app or contact safety@kuyog.app. We take reports seriously and act on them.
11. Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. Kuyog is pre-launch software, and during this period features may change or break. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuing something you paid for.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kuyog is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Kuyog harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
15. Termination
You may stop using Kuyog and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access as described in section 9. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licence wind-down, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — will survive.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kuyog after that means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
